Girls Football Competition

Our St Margaret Ward girls football team produced silverware for the school in the Sale and Partington girls football tournament which ran over two weeks at Crossford Bridge.

Going into the second week unbeaten, the girls performed heroics once again, playing jubilant football in the new football kits sponsored by Brookies Removals . After winning the first two matches, they had to play the top of the group team and went on to win 2-0 which meant the girls went on to win the league .
Colin Lowe, the team coach, felt this performance by the girls was undoubtedly breathtaking, their attitude and determination was exceptional and inspirational and hopefully lots of children will be inspired by this team's amazing achievement.
